It is incredible how much good music a
country with such a small population as
Sweden can come up with. Here is yet another
example. G aka Gunda Metze was born and raised in Sweden. She
started singing very young; at the age of 4
she already had an extremely controlled
voice and made her first recordings. G is a
self-learner; she sang in church-, school-
and pop choirs. When G was 13 she received a
scholarship to pursue her activities. Shortly
before her 22nd birthday she wanted to
discover the world and moved to Germany
from where she went on several longer trips.
London played a central part in her life. At
the same time she started singing with
several bands in Germany. Being the front
singer G wrote the lyrics to the mutually
composed tunes. In addition G started
working on studio jobs and even met with a
producer with whom she wrote many songs -
also for other artists. A couple of G's studio
job references are OrangeBlue, Monoclub,
the "Provinzial" radio jingle and one of her
songs was top 5 for 7 weeks in the chart list
of a Swedish radio station.
At home G began composing. Most of it
disappeared in a drawer until one day she
said "I'm gonna make an album".
And here it is.....
